Bill Belichick's media turn begins in earnest Thursday night in conjunction with the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.

The six-time Super Bowl champion head coach with the New England Patriots, who was let go after the 2023 season, will be joining "The Pat McAfee Show Draft Spectacular" on ESPN's streaming platforms (YouTube, TikTok, ESPN+) Thursday night from Detroit.

Belichick said that he is "looking forward to it" during an appearance on McAfee's daytime show after the host made the announcement last week.

"I think I can, you know, give a little insight into maybe what the conversations will be in those rounds," Belichick said. "I've made a few trades."

How to watch Bill Belichick on 'The Pat McAfee Show'

"The Pat McAfee Show Draft Spectacular" is an alternate telecast for night 1 of the draft. It will be streamed on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and the ESPN app (via ESPN+). It will last for all 32 picks of the first round and will feature commentary from McAfee, Belichick, "Pat McAfee Show" cohost A.J. Hawk, and the usual panel of producers and contributors.

Other guests will likely appear throughout the show. The action starts at 7:30 p.m. ET.

What to expect from Bill Belichick on 'The Pat McAfee Show'

Belichick, aside from his winning and coaching genius, may be most known for his often-terse interactions with the media. That hasn't stopped him from being sought after in the media space with his coaching career on hiatus – for obvious reasons.

Whether it was his analysis for the league's "NFL 100" project or his appearance in the 30 for 30 documentary about himself and Bill Parcells, "The Two Bills," Belichick's passion for the game is constantly evident when he talks about it. His analysis is as legendary as his reputation.

Earlier this week, McAfee shared that Belichick was already trying to book guests – who are current NFL general managers and might be busy Thursday night – to appear on the show.

Belichick can obviously provide a unique look into the Patriots, who pick third overall and are considered the first real pressure point in the draft; they could potentially trade down or stick and pick.

Don't expect many hard-hitting questions from McAfee and his crew to Belichick about his time in New England. They had him on their "progrum" for more than a half hour last week, as ESPN ran a story about his exit as the Patriots coach and search for a new NFL head-coaching job, and did not ask him about it.

Bill Belichick's future media career: Omaha Productions next?

According to The Athletic, Belichick has said he will not be on a studio television show next football season. Instead, the report said, Belichick is expected to reach a deal with Peyton Manning's "Omaha Productions" company.

In that capacity, Belichick is expected to regularly appear on the Manning brothers' "Manningcast" on "Monday Night Football." That is a departure from how the show has operated over the first three seasons, with guests typically appearing once per year.

The deal may also include an insider football show and potentially a podcast, per the report. Belichick also signed a book deal in March.

McAfee has said he hopes Belichick can contribute to his show on a weekly basis during the regular season.
